• revise extended code <air>, <are>, <eer> and <ear> (as in 'gear');
• increase their accuracy, rate and expression (i.e. fluency) when reading short texts loaded with the same extended code targets; and
• consolidate their early decoding skills with encoding (dictation) practice of high frequency simple, compound and complex sentence structures.
