Banter Stuttering Workbook: Speech Fluency and Naturalness Practice Resources

Eight modules, totalling more than 160 pages of resources, to support older school students, young adults and adults who stutter. This workbook includes:

• nonsense verse;
• classic poems and poetry extracts;
• tongue-twisters;
• famous speeches and speech extracts;
• essay extracts;
• 100 discussion topics; and
• short stories and short story extracts.

The materials are suitable for face-to-face and telehealth-based therapies and can be used in a variety of ways, including with the Camperdown Program and other speech restructuring programs like the Oakville Program, Self-Imposed Time Outs, Video-Modelling, Cognitive Behavioural therapies for stuttering, and other evidence-based speech therapies.

The resources in this workbook should always be used under the supervision of a qualified speech pathologist to support people who stutter and as part of an evidence-based stuttering therapy. Other than the discussion topics, these exercises require literacy skills and are therefore not suitable for clients who are not literate.
